Events / Gandhi Jayanti

“Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will.” This message reminds us of Mahatma Gandhi popularly known as “Bapu” or “The Father of the Nation” whose birth day on 2nd October every year is celebrated as Gandhi Jayanti. This year will mark Gandhi’s 152nd birth anniversary. The Father of the Nation, as he was called, led India’s freedom movement along with many other national leaders. His contribution to the Indian nationalist struggle movement and his principles of non-violence (or Ahimsa), peace, tolerance, understanding, brotherhood has inspired not only India but also many other democracies who follow his path. To commemorate his birth anniversary and to pay a homage to the great leader, Dispur Law College is organizing a day long programme which includes Installation of a new Sign Board for Dispur Law College by Dispur Law College Students’ Union, Plantation programme by Faculties and Students’ Union, a Swachh Bharat Abhiyan Programme, a Poster making competition and final round of Virtual Moot Court Competition with a prize distribution ceremony and cultural programme.
