Vision:

Our vision is to provide quality legal education catering to the needs of the students from the North eastern part and the rest of India. The institution firmly believes in the maxim that “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”. With this motto our vision is to provide affordable quality legal education, inculcate values, identify hidden talents and to give to the society, brilliant lawyers, compassionate judges, efficient administrators, dedicated academicians, intelligent intellectuals, reliable leaders, responsible citizens and considerate and socially conscientious human beings.

Mission:

1. To impart comprehensive legal education and training par excellence at all levels;
2. To disseminate legal knowledge by organizing various programmes;
3. To nurture among the students a respect for the Constitution, its ideals and objectives and the performance of fundamental duties;
4. To promote advanced studies and research in all branches of law and its allied subjects;
5. To encourage faculty and students for research and publication;
6. To channelize talents of the faculty and students’ body to render community service;
7. To build a generation who are intellectually alert, morally upright. Socially conscious, culturally distinct yet nationally integrated thereby usher in a just society;
8. To provide library facilities with IT tools for attainment of legal knowledge;
9. To provide infrastructure facilities with IT tools for dissemination of legal education.
10. To promote participation of faculties and students’ body in the decision making of the institution;
11. To provide opportunities to the non-teaching staff for upgrading their skills for better administration of the institution;
12. To have a memorandum of understanding with other institutions of learning for exchange of ideas and knowledge and use of infrastructure;
13. To do all such things as are incidental, necessary or conducive to the attainment of all or any of the mission of the institution.

With this mission the institution aims to nurture its students into confident and ambitious legal professionals and encourages both its students and teachers to excel in academics and to provide community service so that Dispur Law College become one of the premier law College not only in Assam but in the entire north east region and also in the rest of India.
