Short Bio

Dr. Chandamita Sarma is an Assistant Professor of Law at Dispur Law College with 14 years of teaching experience since 2011. She holds an LL.M. degree with a specialization in Criminal Law from Gauhati University (2011) and was awarded a Ph.D. in Law in 2018 for her thesis titled "Violence against Street Children and Protection of their Rights with Special Reference to the City of Guwahati: A Critical Insight." Her areas of interest include Criminal Jurisprudence, Criminology, Penology, Victimology, Comparative Criminal Law, Research Methodology, Law of Tort, and Criminal Psychology. She has published six research articles in ISSN journals and four book chapters in ISBN books. In addition, she has presented papers at various national and international seminars and has attended one Faculty Development Programme (FDP).
